Thief of Hearts Alpaca Stud is a New Zealand alpaca breeder located in the foothills of the Tararua Ranges, south of Palmerston North. Owned by Eric and Debbie Lister, the stud has more than 20 years of experience in the alpaca industry and describes itself as one of the country’s established breeders. Its focus is supporting the long-term future of the alpaca industry through breeding, showing and sharing practical guidance.

The stud offers alpacas for sale and access to premium specialist stud males for breeding, with the aim of helping owners improve their herds. Its listed males include animals from several bloodlines, including a homozygous Suri. Showing and promoting alpacas is also an important part of the business, and the stud highlights its animals’ show results.

Thief of Hearts provides information for both newcomers and experienced alpaca owners, covering alpaca facts, fibre, shearing, halter training, health and veterinary matters, and keeping alpacas as pets or investments.
