Mühlen Alpakas Franzenheim is a family-run alpaca experience farm in Franzenheim, near Trier, founded by Sascha and Wibke Meyer. What began with three alpacas on the outskirts of Trier has grown into a welcoming place where visitors can meet the animals up close and enjoy time outdoors. The farm offers guided tours, alpaca walks, special event walks, and relaxed visits on the pasture, where guests can unwind and enjoy a picnic alongside the alpacas.
Other activities include children’s birthday celebrations, individual support visits, encounters for care facilities, alpaca sponsorships, and gift vouchers. A farm shop is also listed among its offerings. The experiences are designed to give visitors memorable, peaceful moments while encouraging respectful and affectionate interaction with the animals.
Since July 2025, Mühlen Alpakas Franzenheim has been a certified Begegnungshof, or animal encounter farm, recognized by Stiftung Bündnis Mensch & Tier. The farm welcomes guests interested in learning about alpacas, exploring its activities, or simply spending a restful day in their company
