Alpakawelt Leopoldstal

Baleido Alpakawelt in Leopoldstal is an alpaca-focused small business built around animal care, breeding, and experiences that bring visitors closer to these gentle animals. Founded with five alpacas, the venture grew from a passion for alpaca husbandry into a broader range of educational and wellbeing activities. Its owner is trained as an animal-assisted therapist and certified, according to ISAAT criteria, in alpaca- and llama-assisted activities.

Baleido offers animal-assisted interventions for people of all ages, as well as alpaca yoga and guided walks in small groups, typically accompanied by two or three animals. Visitors can also arrange photo sessions for occasions such as weddings and birthdays. The shop features products including alpaca-wool duvets and pillows, soap, pictures, and natural fertilizer made from 100% alpaca manure. The business presents time with alpacas as a calming, enriching experience and combines recreation with animal-assisted activities and experiential education. Baleido Alpakawelt is currently temporarily closed while it undertakes safety and care work ahead of a planned reopening.
