@alparc.org
ALPARC, the Alpine Network of Protected Areas, was founded in 1995 in to help implement the Alpine Convention. The organisations main goal is to promote the exchange of expertise, techniques and methods among the managers of all the large protected areas in the Alps. ALPARC carries out its actions under three main topics: Biodiversity and Ecological Connectivity, Regional Development and Quality of Life, and Education for Sustainable Development in the Alps. These three topics allow for ALPARC to take a regional approach to global issues such as climate change, nature conservation and sustainable development. Moreover, ALPARC aims to raise awareness among the general public and in particular, Alpine youth on environmental challenges.

About ALPARC
ALPARC is the Alpine Network of Protected Areas, bringing together hundreds of protected areas in the Alps, spanning from France to Slovenia. Their aim is to promote cooperation between these areas for sustainable management and the conservation of natural resources. The organization focuses on biodiversity protection, ecological connectivity, regional development, and quality of life.
They also emphasize education for sustainable development in the Alps, especially among young people. ALPARC supports safeguarding the link between humans and the natural environment and advocates for regional development that centers around local resources and puts people at its core. The network undertakes various projects, workshops, and seminars to achieve these objectives.
They also organize events like the Youth at the Top Video Contest and the International photo contest "Fotografare Il Parco" to engage the public and raise awareness about the values and opportunities offered by the Alps' natural and cultural heritage.
