Alpenglow Equine is a horseback riding instruction business based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, owned and operated by instructor Sam. With 17 years of teaching experience and 25 years of riding experience, Sam holds an American Riding Instructor Certification and has experience spanning hunters and reined cowhorse. The program offers English and Western riding lessons for a range of abilities, from beginners to advanced riders, using either the student’s horse or one of Alpenglow Equine’s horses. Lessons are tailored to students’ interests and goals, which may include exploring riding disciplines, improving technique, preparing for horse shows or gymkhana, or developing skills with a horse they plan to purchase or already own. Alpenglow Equine also helps students find a suitable horse and can create customized lesson and training plans. Lessons are offered at Saddle Mountain Ranch, Sidney Peak Ranch, and other area barns.
