Alpenverein Schrobenhausen

Alpenverein Sektion Schrobenhausen is the local section of the German Alpine Club, bringing people together to enjoy the mountains and outdoor activities. Based in Schrobenhausen, the association organizes guided mountain tours, hikes and cycling trips for a range of interests and experience levels. Its program includes full-day and half-day walks, family outings, ladies’ tours, alpine group trips and seasonal activities, alongside opportunities for members to plan and share tours with one another.

Climbing is another important part of the section’s offer. Members can join group visits to a climbing hall, take part in top-rope instruction and refresher courses, and enjoy bouldering activities. The section also provides training focused on alpine safety, including avalanche courses and practice with rescue equipment. Its Edelweißhütte, a longstanding local gathering place, hosts community events and family celebrations, bringing a touch of mountain-hut atmosphere to Schrobenhausen. Through tours, courses, social events and member communication, the section supports outdoor recreation, shared learning and an active community throughout the year.
