About Alpes 2030
Alpes 2030 is the organizing committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in the French Alps. The Olympic Winter Games are scheduled for February 1–17, 2030, followed by the Paralympic Winter Games from March 1–10. Drawing on France’s history of hosting winter events, including Chamonix 1924, Grenoble 1968 and Albertville 1992, the committee is preparing a sporting celebration inspired by the mountains and their natural heritage.
Alpes 2030 brings together competition venues across locations including Lyon, Le Grand-Bornand, La Clusaz, La Plagne, Courchevel, Val d’Isère, Serre-Chevalier and Montgenèvre. The planned program spans Olympic and Paralympic disciplines such as alpine skiing, biathlon, curling, ice hockey, speed skating, snowboard and wheelchair curling. The organization also shares information through its website, sports and venue guides, and Rencontres Alpes 2030, a series of meetings with its teams. It invites people to join its community and learn about upcoming milestones, including ticketing, volunteering and the Torch Relay. The Games’ vision emphasizes forward-looking, thrilling and generous experiences, with a legacy intended to reach future generations.
