About AlphaFlight
AlphaFlight Academy is a career-focused flight training school based at Plymouth Municipal Airport in Plymouth, Indiana, about 30 minutes from South Bend. It prepares students to become confident, dependable aviators through structured instruction, mentorship, and experience flying in real Indiana weather. The academy offers training for an Instrument Rating, Commercial License, and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) qualification.
Students train in a modern Cessna 172 fleet equipped with advanced avionics, glass cockpits, and GPS with iPad connectivity for weather and traffic information. The academy emphasizes attentive instruction, with instructors who follow each student’s goals and progress, and combines the structure and organization of a Part 141 school with the flexibility and personal attention associated with Part 61 training. Ground lessons, flight training, and simulator sessions are part of its curriculum.
AlphaFlight welcomes prospective students to visit and discuss training plans and costs by appointment, with no commitment required. Through a partnership with Maloy Aircraft, the academy has also reserved four BlueJay aircraft for delivery in 2029.
