Alpina Group Open

Alpina Group is the organiser of the Alpina Group Open, an annual charity golf event that brings together the company’s employees, business contacts and sponsors to support children with cancer. Held at Golfclub de Scherpenbergh in Lieren, the tournament combines sport, networking and fundraising, with all proceeds donated to the Prinses Máxima Centrum, an international centre of expertise in paediatric oncology.

Participants can enter the 18-hole Texas Scramble as individuals or teams; individual players are placed in a team. The programme also offers a Basis Clinic for people new to golf and a Master Clinic for golfers who have experience but do not yet hold a golf proficiency certificate. Both clinics are guided by an experienced golf professional.

After more than 17 years, the event has raised over €1.6 million for research and treatments for children with cancer. The latest reported tournament raised €116,209.26. The next Alpina Group Open is scheduled for 1 September 2027, with registration and donation opportunities available through the event website.
