Alpine Pediatric Therapy LLC is a small, clinician-owned speech pathology practice in midtown Anchorage, Alaska, serving children and adolescents from public and homeschool families. The practice focuses on pediatric language and literacy disorders, including the evaluation and treatment of dyslexia, and aims to provide compassionate, evidence-based, high-quality care.
Services begin with an evaluation, arranged after a referral from the child’s provider, to identify strengths and areas of need. Families then meet with the therapist to review results, recommendations, and goals before therapy begins. Treatment plans are tailored to each child, with therapy length and frequency based on individual needs.
Alpine Pediatric Therapy addresses language challenges such as vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, word finding, narrative skills, and understanding figurative language and inferences. Literacy services support difficulties with word recognition, decoding, reading fluency and comprehension, spelling, and written expression. Dyslexia intervention is described as intensive and systematic.
The practice is owned by speech-language pathologist Allie Walsh, MA, CCC-SLP, and is in network with several insurers, including Alaska Medicaid/Denali Kid Care.
