Alpinforum is a German-language online community for people interested in winter sports, ski areas and mountain transport technology. Founded in 2002, it brings together enthusiasts and experts to share knowledge, news and first-hand experiences. Its discussion forums cover ski resorts around the world, current snow conditions, lift and piste developments, snowmaking projects, weather and alpine climate. Members also publish ski and summer trip reports, offering practical impressions and photographs from mountains across the Alps and beyond.

The community explores equipment and alpine sports, including ski and boot advice, product experiences, maintenance tips and skiing technique. Dedicated sections focus on cable cars, snow groomers, model building, historic lifts, closed ski areas, sledging runs and alpine coasters. Members can also exchange news, ask for help, provide feedback, arrange outings and take part in photo competitions, quizzes and general discussions. Alpinforum further connects visitors with international cable-car communities and supports discussion of Lift-World.info, a cable-car database.
