AlSiCal is an innovative brand dedicated to transforming the mineral and metal industry into a more sustainable and eco-friendly sector. Their research and innovation project aims to revolutionize the industry by integrating CO2 capture technology and co-producing three essential raw materials: alumina, silica, and precipitated calcium carbonate. This groundbreaking concept utilizes anorthosite, a widely available resource, to generate these raw materials while completely eliminating the production of Bauxite residue and carbon dioxide (CO2).

AlSiCal is committed to researching, developing, and de-risking their cutting-edge AlSiCal Technology, which enables the green co-production of these essential materials in a single process from a single source. With one location and one process, AlSiCal is paving the way for a greener and more environmentally conscious mineral and metal industry in Europe. This project has been funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
