The Sarangani Energy Corporation (SEC) coal-fired power plant in Maasim, Sarangani, has the capacity to produce up to 210 MW of electricity for Southern and South Central Mindanao. The Western Mindanao Power Corporation (WMPC) operates a 100 MW diesel-fired plant in Sangali, Zamboanga City. The Mapalad Power Corporation manages a 103 MW diesel power plant in Iligan City, providing power to key cities in Mindanao.
Alsons Power Group also focuses on business development for new power generation projects through Alsons Energy Development Corporation (AEDC). Additionally, they engage in power plant management and maintenance operations under Alto Power Management Corporation (APMC), a partnership between Alsons Consolidated Resources, Inc. The group is continuously expanding its reach.
The San Ramon Power, Inc. (SRPI) coal-fired power plant in Talisayan, Zamboanga City, will generate up to 105 MW of electricity for the area. Furthermore, the Southern Philippines Power Corporation (SPPC) operates a 55 MW diesel-fired power plant in Alabel, Sarangani Province.
