Alssund Akvarieforening

Alssund Akvarieforening is a community association for people interested in aquarium keeping, bringing together around 30 members in a welcoming environment. The club meets every Monday to share knowledge, talk about fish and care for the aquariums in its meeting space. It welcomes beginners as well as experienced enthusiasts, and members do not need to own an aquarium before joining. Interests can include large or small aquariums, freshwater or saltwater setups, and garden ponds.

The association supports the development of the hobby through workshops, exhibitions, fairs, talks and group outings. Members may visit other aquarists at home or take shopping trips in Denmark and Germany. The club also holds an annual aquarium-related market featuring sales by retailers and private sellers. Prospective members are invited to visit on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. to see the facilities, meet the group and ask questions without obligation. Annual membership costs DKK 200 and covers the household, with access to club evenings, trips and other activities.
