The Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica “Francesco Severi” (INdAM) is an Italian institution dedicated to advancing mathematical research and supporting the mathematical sciences. Based in Rome, it connects researchers and universities through research units, scientific projects, conferences, workshops, and national and international partnerships. Its activities span a broad range of mathematical fields, with events addressing topics such as probability, mathematical physics, geometry, applied mathematics, and differential equations.

INdAM supports students and researchers through competitive scholarships, research opportunities, visiting professor and intensive-period programmes, and funding for activities at its research units. It also promotes doctoral research and scientific exchange, including study visits with international partners. The institute publishes information on research projects and publications, and works with organizations such as the Italian Mathematical Union and the Italian Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics on awards and initiatives. Through these programmes, calls, and events, INdAM fosters collaboration and helps develop mathematical research and education in Italy and beyond.
