Althamaniah

Althamaniah is a cultural project that introduces young adults and children to Arab history through engaging, accessible storytelling. Its books explore significant events, monuments, symbols, and historical figures, spanning the region’s heritage from pre-Islamic civilizations to the modern era. The project also invites readers to discover eight symbols of Arab heritage, including architecture, clothing, universities, cities, poetry, popular biographies, and proverbs, combining tangible and intangible traditions to illuminate the customs, arts, values, and ideas that have shaped Arab identity.

Althamaniah brings together researchers, writers, and illustrators with experience in history, literature, education, and visual arts. Their work supports an approachable learning experience enriched by historical scholarship and imaginative presentation. The project shares updates about its books and activities through news feeds and has featured launches and children’s events at regional book fairs, including the Sharjah International Book Fair and Al Ain Book Festival. Through its publications and cultural activities, Althamaniah aims to make Arab history inviting and meaningful for younger readers.
