Fasnachtsgesellschaft Alti Glaibasler (AGB) is a Basel carnival society whose community life is centered on Fasnacht and the traditions of the city’s carnival. The society welcomes people looking for a carnival clique with a family-friendly atmosphere, and invites prospective members to make an enquiry through its contact form. Its activities bring together three groups: the Stamm, described as the backbone of the clique; the Junge Garde, which welcomes girls and boys and reflects the society’s commitment to young members; and the Alte Garde, whose experience and calm presence are valued.
The website provides information about each group, including leadership, repertoire and schedules for the Stamm, and leadership, repertoire and costs for the Junge Garde. It also features a society history, the clique newspaper Dr Glaibasler, and photo galleries for all three groups. Beyond taking part in Fasnacht, AGB helps organise events such as the official Preistrommeln and the clique carnival football tournament.
Based in Basel, the society also shares links to its young members’ Instagram presence
