ALTRAC

ALTRAC is a German radon testing laboratory recognized by the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) under the Radiation Protection Ordinance. With more than 35 years of experience, the company provides passive radon dosimeters and measurement services for homes, workplaces, and soil. Its products include long-term and short-term indoor radon detectors, short- and long-term soil-gas detectors, and personal dosimeters for assessing occupational exposure. Measurement periods range from 10 days to 12 months, depending on the device and purpose.

Customers select their devices and measurement locations, set up the detectors using the supplied instructions, then return them to ALTRAC for laboratory analysis. The company uses a semi-automated electronic system to evaluate results and issues measurement reports approved by the BfS and the German Accreditation Body, DAkkS. ALTRAC reports more than 700,000 completed measurements, and its detectors are used in over 15 countries.
