Altschützengesellschaft Velden/Vils, also known as Altschützen Velden, is a local shooting club with a strong focus on sport, youth development, and community traditions. Its clubhouse is open on Fridays from 6 p.m. during the shooting season, which runs from September to April. Members take part in precision shooting and competitions across disciplines including air rifle, air pistol, and supported air rifle. The club organizes regular shooting evenings, seasonal opening and closing events, club championships, king competitions, and youth activities. It also publishes results from team leagues, district and regional championships, and other shooting events.

Youth development is an important part of the club’s work. Young members receive training and attend competitions, while the club also arranges social activities such as camps, night walks, and outdoor excursions. Beyond shooting, Altschützen Velden fosters fellowship through member celebrations, recognition of long-standing service, and group outings. Its website shares news, event dates, historical information, competition results, and photographs, helping members and visitors stay connected with the club’s activities and heritage.
