Alunni Alberto

Alberto Alunni is an iron sculptor based in Pietralunga, Umbria, whose work transforms metal and materials gathered from the surrounding landscape into distinctive, hand-forged artworks. Born in Nice in 1967, he works in an open-air studio, drawing inspiration from stones, wood, roots and the character of each place. His practice reflects a belief in the Genius Loci—the unique spirit of a location—and the stories that careful observation can reveal.

Each sculpture is made individually by hand, without lasers or moulds, so every piece is unique rather than a replica. Alunni’s catalogue includes works and series such as Francesco la metamorfosi, E FU SERA E FU MATTINA, Metamorfosi, Il Cantico delle Creature and Alchimie. The artist also presents his work through exhibitions and events, with a showroom on Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi in Montone, where visitors can view available pieces by appointment or on Saturdays. His website features exhibition catalogues, books, specialist magazine coverage, articles and videos about his work. Alunni welcomes enquiries about available sculptures and showroom visits.
