ALUX is building a global virtual machine architecture designed to provide one logical execution layer across physically distributed virtual machines. Its GLVM model aims to let developers create concurrent programs that can run across public blockchains, private clusters, and, in the future, client devices, while coordinating state, threads, replication, and consensus. The current foundation is the ALUX chain runtime; private-cloud integration is a next step, and client-device deployment remains on the roadmap.
The runtime brings together tuple-space communication, resumable processes, object-capability security, cross-block transaction finalization, replay, and BlockGit consensus. These features are intended to support long-running agents and workflows that can fork parallel tasks, wait for external input or approvals, resume, and settle as a coordinated result. ALUX also provides a compatibility layer for supported EVM contracts, with coordination handled through its runtime. The platform’s use cases include agent workflows and multi-source data aggregation. Cross-shard atomic execution is a roadmap target, not a current capability.
