Alva’s Pragati is the annual placement drive organized by Alva’s Education Foundation as a corporate social responsibility initiative. Established to connect talent with employment opportunities, it focuses especially on young people from rural and underprivileged communities across India. Now in its 16th edition, the event brings candidates and employers together at the Vidyagiri Campus in Moodubidire, Karnataka.
More than 200 companies participate per edition, recruiting graduates and postgraduates across a wide range of qualifications and fields. Opportunities span sectors such as IT and IT-enabled services, manufacturing, healthcare, banking and finance, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, media, retail, construction, telecom, education and logistics. Participation is free for both candidates and companies.
Since its launch, Pragati has recorded more than 36,000 spot offers and over 66,000 shortlists, reflecting its role in expanding access to work. The initiative provides candidate registration, company registration, student help and results information, helping job seekers navigate the placement process and discover potential matches with employers
