L’Alveare ODV is a volunteer organisation based in Buguggiate, in the Province of Varese, Italy. Founded in early 2016 by Ilaria Mai and Maria Anna Lemma, it brings together volunteers who share a commitment to protecting the environment and preserving the area’s historical, artistic and cultural heritage. The organisation pursues these aims through community initiatives, educational activities, events and fundraising projects.
Its work includes environmental education and recycling, encouraging the reuse of goods, supporting restoration projects, and promoting local agricultural products, healthy eating and sport. Since 2025, L’Alveare has also established an annual award for research in radiodiagnostics. The association organises public events, including health-focused talks, and collaborates with schools, public bodies, businesses, training centres, religious institutions and other organisations.
It offers its cooperation to local partners to raise awareness of environmental responsibility and help people, especially children, discover and value the area’s heritage. L’Alveare also provides opportunities to support its activities through donations and a solidarity shop
