Créée en 2004 par deux médecins français spécialisés sur la maladie d’Alzheimer, le Pr Bruno Dubois, neurologue et le Dr Olivier de Ladoucette, psychiatre-gérontologue, la Fondation est installée à la Pitié-Salpêtrière, au plus proche de la recherche clinique. Elle est reconnue d'utilité publique depuis 2016, labellisée IDEAS en 2024. La maladie d’Alzheimer est un enjeu majeur de santé publique et affecte un nombre sans cesse croissant de personnes en France et à travers le monde. La recherche scientifique a permis d’identifier les lésions responsables de la maladie et de comprendre la manière dont elles évoluent. L’enjeu mondial est désormais de disposer de diagnostics fiables et de mettre au point des traitements efficaces. Seule la recherche permettra d’atteindre cet objectif. L'action de la Fondation vise à mobiliser tous les acteurs de la société : chercheurs, associations, familles de patients, individus...afin de vaincre la maladie dans un futur proche.

About Fondation Recherche Alzheimer
Fondation Recherche Alzheimer is dedicated to mobilizing all generations to defeat Alzheimer's disease. Their mission is to support research on Alzheimer's disease, particularly clinical research focused on improving diagnosis and developing therapeutic approaches. With a vision of mobilizing everyone, they believe that our generation can conquer Alzheimer's through medical research and the development of effective treatments.
