AMACI, or the Associazione dei Musei d'Arte Contemporanea Italiani, is a non-profit organization established in 2003, uniting 24 of Italy's most significant contemporary art museums. Its mission revolves around promoting and supporting contemporary art policies, acting as a vital reference point for the study and advancement of contemporary artistic research both domestically and internationally. AMACI works actively to enhance the visibility and appreciation of contemporary art through various initiatives and partnerships.

The association includes prestigious museums such as the Castel Sant'Elmo in Naples, the Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, and the MAXXI in Rome, among others. AMACI also plays a key role in organizing events and exhibitions that foster dialogue among artists, curators, and the public. By providing a collaborative platform for its member institutions, AMACI contributes to the richness and dynamism of Italy's contemporary art scene, ensuring that this vibrant cultural sector continues to thrive and evolve.
