AMAIS (Associação Melhores Amigos dos Animais) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rights and protection of animals, founded in 2009 in Caçapava, São Paulo. With a mission to advocate for animal welfare, AMAIS currently cares for over 200 rescued animals from abandonment and mistreatment. The organization plays a crucial role in the community by offering spaying and neutering services for stray animals and those belonging to low-income families, promoting responsible pet ownership and population control.

AMAIS also engages in public awareness campaigns about animal welfare and works tirelessly to find loving homes for animals in need. Although the rescue operations are temporarily suspended due to a financial crisis, the organization remains committed to its mission. With opportunities for volunteering, donations, and partnerships, AMAIS invites everyone to join in their efforts to create a safer and more compassionate world for animals. You can reach them at Rua Cônego Rodovalho, 182, Centro, or via email at [email protected].
