Amamenta Holanda

Amamenta Holanda is a lactation and family-support practice founded by Cibele Giesel in 2019 to help expatriate families navigate pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding in the Netherlands. Led by a lactation consultant and perinatal educator, the practice offers personalised, compassionate guidance informed by evidence and tailored to each mother and baby. Support is available in Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and English, both online and in person across the Netherlands.

Services include brief express consultations for focused breastfeeding questions, in-depth online consultations with personalised action plans, and home visits that include a feeding assessment, follow-up after five days, and, when appropriate, photobiomodulation therapy. Cibele also provides the Peito & Prosa prenatal breastfeeding course for individuals or couples, combining theory and practical learning to prepare expectant families for lactation and the first days after birth. Guidance can cover latch and feeding, breastfeeding challenges, infant tongue-tie screening, and transitions such as weaning or induced lactation. Amamenta Holanda aims to help families feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their breastfeeding journey.
