AMANDOS is an association for people affected by NF2-associated schwannomatosis (SWN-NF2) and their families. The rare genetic condition causes benign tumors, predominantly schwannomas, to grow in the central and peripheral nervous systems; until 2022, it was commonly called neurofibromatosis type 2. Founded in 2014 by people who met in an online support group, AMANDOS was created to make information about NF2 more accessible and bring affected people together.
