Amare

Amare is a recovery support organization serving adults and families affected by drug or alcohol addiction in Madison and St. Clair Counties, Illinois. It helps people find treatment, build lasting recovery, and reconnect with health, purpose, and community. Amare’s approach is grounded in lived experience: its recovery coaches draw on their own journeys to offer understanding, encouragement, and practical guidance to people at different stages of recovery.

Services include individualized recovery coaching shaped around each person’s goals, resource navigation to help connect clients with housing, transportation, and other essentials, and guidance in finding rehabilitation, detox, and other treatment services. Amare also supports families through education and care, and offers support groups that strengthen recovery skills and foster connection. Beyond direct services, the organization welcomes volunteers, partners, and advocates who want to contribute to its work. Amare is a member of the Association of Recovery Community Organizations, which provides opportunities for networking, organizational growth, and training. Its office is located in Wood River, Illinois.
