The Amazing Things Project, founded by independent animation director Alex Amelines, is a dedicated animation initiative promoting understanding and acceptance of autism. Launched in April 2017 to coincide with World Autism Awareness Month, the project features the acclaimed short film "Amazing Things Happen," created to educate children aged 7-11 about autism through simple descriptions, relatable situations, and positive messaging. This animation not only aims to foster empathy in non-autistic children but also helps those with autism gain self-awareness.

The project has garnered support from numerous organizations, including The British Dyslexia Association and BBC Persia. As part of its future initiatives, the Amazing Things Project plans to launch a Patreon page to foster sustainability, allowing supporters to help produce more content on vital topics such as ADHD and PDA. Collaborating with Tiimo, an assistive technology app, the project strives to create a more inclusive society, ensuring that all individuals are understood and accepted for their unique differences.
