Amazonia Republic is a brand with an incredible story that began with the arrival of German immigrant Otto Schirmer in Venezuela in 1924. He established a hat factory that would later distribute luxurious brands such as Borsalino and Huckel. Among their renowned products are the famous Peloguama, a national pride, and the recognized Panama Hats.

In 1984, the third generation expanded the family business to include the cultivation of tropical flowers, such as anthuriums and phalaenopsis, becoming one of the largest producers of ornamental flowers in the region. They also ventured into coffee cultivation, roasting, and the production of cacao for El Rey chocolates. These plants were initially imported from various corners of the world, including Hawaii and the Netherlands, and are now grown across more than 8 hectares in Colombia and Venezuela.

In 2014, the fourth generation had a dream to unite the family businesses under one brand, and thus, Amazonia Republic was born in the Republic of Panama. It is a boutique fusion, offering exclusive products from the Amazon, including orchids, Panama Hats, artisanal coffee, and chocolates.
