Amazon Missions is a brand founded by Arnold van der Spuy, who encountered Jesus in 1971 and has been dedicated to introducing others to his best friend ever since. Inspired by a call from God, Arnold embarked on a mission to reach the remote and unreached tribes of the Amazon. He recognized that these tribes had never been in contact with Western cultures or heard of Jesus Christ, and felt compelled to bridge this gap.

Arnold started by leading field trips to the Amazon Indian Tribes and later began working with Brazilian Amazon Indians in collaboration with YWAM and Wycliffe Bible Translators. He learned to speak Portuguese in just five months and also works with Good News Mission in Peru, where Spanish is spoken. In addition to his work in the Amazon, Arnold uses his talent for music to share the Gospel.

He sings and plays guitar, delivering performances that lead to salvations, healings, and recruitments for missions. Through his ministry, Arnold brings hope and the light of Jesus Christ to the unconventional and challenging areas of the Amazon.
