About Amberg Grapevines
Amberg Grapevines, established in 1968, is a premier nursery located in the Finger Lakes region of New York, rooted in over 60 years of viticulture expertise. Founded by Herman Amberg, who emigrated from Germany, the business has built a legacy of innovation and quality, contributing to important developments in grape cultivation, including the first mechanical grape harvester. Today, under the leadership of his son Eric, an experienced viticulturist with a degree in Enology, Amberg Grapevines continues to thrive by offering over 150 varieties and clones, including super cold-hardy hybrids, native, seedless, and PIWI vines.
The nursery also emphasizes custom propagation services, ensuring that customers receive the ideal plants for their vineyards.
