Ambush Fishing Charters

Ambush Fishing Charters offers guided fishing adventures departing from Gulfport Harbor, Mississippi, with trips to the Chandeleur Islands, nearby marshes, and Gulf waters. The company specializes in private two- and three-day excursions for groups of up to six anglers, using the Southern Cross, a custom 54-foot aluminum sport fisherman that serves as a comfortable mothership. Its amenities include bunks, two heads, a shower, a salon, satellite television, and a full galley. A guide boat allows anglers to reach productive fishing areas efficiently.

For shorter outings, Ambush offers day trips aboard a Triton 22 Sea Flight, equipped for casting plugs, fishing with live bait, and fly fishing. Trips suit families, groups, and anglers seeking trophy catches. Fishing focuses on speckled trout and redfish, with tarpon, flounder, and other species also mentioned. The Chandeleur Islands’ grass beds, sand flats, and protected shorelines provide varied habitats for inshore fishing. Captain Mark leads the charters, which depart from Gulfport and include required navigation and safety equipment for the offshore journey.
