AMEAO, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) Association of Ontario, is a non-profit organization that represents the interests of AMEs, non-licensed personnel, students, apprentices, and corporate members in the aircraft maintenance industry. As one of six associations across Canada, AMEAO aims to maintain and enhance professional standards within the industry and promote the rights and privileges of AMEs. The association works closely with Transport Canada on the formulation of new rules and regulations, and is actively involved in various committees and working groups related to aircraft maintenance and licensing.

In addition, AMEAO supports community college aircraft maintenance programs in Ontario through annual monetary awards to top students and by conducting workshops in the Toronto area and Thunder Bay. The association also hosts industry trade shows, publishes newsletters, and offers mentorship and support to young AMEs. With a focus on promoting aircraft maintenance as a viable career choice, AMEAO also holds skills competitions to bring industry awareness to the public. If you are looking to expand your network and make industry contacts, consider joining AMEAO to be part of a dynamic community that supports and promotes excellence within the aircraft maintenance industry.
