AMEDA is a non-profit organization that was founded on April 27, 2005, with the aim of promoting cooperation and development within the Central Securities Depositories and Clearing Houses in Africa and the Middle East regions. Their primary objective is to provide a platform for members to exchange information and experiences, while also supporting the development of local markets. AMEDA's focus is on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial markets by promoting best practices in depository, clearing, settlement, risk management, and corporate governance on a global scale.
