Ameina CIC is a community interest company based in Luton, working with young people, families and disadvantaged or hard-to-reach communities. Since 2012, it has aimed to reduce loneliness and isolation, address health inequalities, and help children and young people thrive through support beyond mainstream services. Its work serves groups including children, young people, families at risk of social, educational or economic exclusion, racialised communities, women, offenders and ex-offenders, and older people.

Ameina offers youth and community activities designed to encourage connection, confidence and participation. Its weekly youth club provides age-specific sessions, while holiday programmes for ages 8–18 include creative activities, sports, gardening, trips and adventure weekends, with young people helping plan and run them. Other services include girls’ football, gentle exercise classes, nutrition workshops, and social activities for adults and seniors. The Young Changemakers programme supports 16–25-year-olds from racialised communities to create social action projects and have a voice on mental health. Through projects and events, Ameina brings people of different ages together to learn, contribute and strengthen community wellbeing.
