Amélie la Vie is a French nonprofit association founded in December 2003, initially to help fund Amélie’s operation in the United States. Today, it supports people with acquired brain injuries and their families, with a focus on helping individuals develop autonomy and participate in community life.
A central initiative is Les Colibris, an inclusive shared home for adults with brain injuries. Opened in June 2025, it provides five residents with adapted two-room apartments where they can live independently while sharing social experiences. The project combines suitable accommodation with opportunities for companionship and everyday participation.
