American Auctioneers is a California-based auction and liquidation company led by Dan and Laura Dotson, the featured auctioneers on the television series Storage Wars. With more than 30 years of experience, the team coordinates auctions and appraisals, managing the process from scheduling and setup to advertising and sale completion. Its auction professionals include auctioneers, appraisers, lockcutters, lot specialists, and clerks, supported by office staff who handle preparation, accounting, customer service, and technical support.

The company serves self-storage facilities, moving and storage businesses, law offices, property managers, and other organizations. Its services include self-storage auctions with lock cutting, video, and inventory; liquidation of unpaid storage vaults and abandoned property; and sales of commercial equipment, business assets, and overstocks. American Auctioneers also conducts vehicle auctions featuring collector cars, vintage and sports cars, motorcycles, RVs, and boats, and provides lien sale services. Estate and personal-property liquidations are also available. The company publishes an auction calendar featuring live and online events across California and offers information for prospective buyers and clients through its website.
