Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary is a renowned brand dedicated to the preservation and understanding of black bears. Located in Orr, Minnesota, this sanctuary was established after Vince Shute, a former logger, chose to stop shooting bears that broke into his cabins. Instead, he embraced a peaceful approach, leading to a cessation of break-ins.

Today, the sanctuary is managed by the American Bear Association, a nonprofit organization, with a vision to enhance public knowledge and appreciation of black bears. At Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary, visitors can have an up-close and personal encounter with free-roaming black bears. The bears roam through clover meadows, cedar swamps, and pine forests, creating a natural and harmonious environment.

The sanctuary offers numerous services to engage and support visitors, including a visitor center, breakfast with the bears, paint a bear canvas night, and photography workshops. Moreover, individuals can contribute to the cause by becoming a member, symbolically adopting a bear, or making bear food donations. Vince Shute's legacy lives on through this sanctuary, promoting peaceful coexistence between humans and bears, while fostering education, observation, and a deeper understanding of these magnificent creatures
