Welcome to the American Boxer Club! As the national parent club dedicated to the well-being of the Boxer breed, we are here to serve you and your furry friend. We are responsible for the written Breed Standard, which provides a detailed description of the ideal Boxer. Additionally, we encourage Boxer lovers to join any of our 50+ member clubs across the country.

Education is a key focus for us. We believe in educating the public about Boxers, as bringing a puppy or older dog into your home is a major decision that comes with responsibility and commitment. However, it also brings great joy and laughter.

We provide resources for owners to learn about specific health concerns within the breed, as while most Boxers are healthy, there can be some health issues such as Cardiomyopathy and Degenerative Myelopathy. Our National Specialty Show is a must-attend event for Boxer enthusiasts, where fans come together to share their knowledge and passion, as well as showcase their best dogs in competition. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the breed.

Boxers are known for their high energy and activity levels. They are strong, quick, and busy dogs who thrive on plenty of exercise and mental challenges. They are a medium-sized breed, perfectly suited for an active lifestyle.

Did you know that Boxers were one of the first breeds selected for police training in Germany? They have a rich history and were officially recognized by the AKC in 1904. Visit our website for more information and don't hesitate to contact our Webmaster with any questions or comments. Follow us on social media to stay updated on all things Boxer.

We are honored to serve the Boxer community and protect the legacy of this wonderful breed
