A.M.E.R. (Associazione Micologica Ecologica Romana) is a Rome-based nonprofit association founded in 1973 to study and promote knowledge of fungi and the natural environment. As an association for social promotion, it brings together members and enthusiasts through education, field activities, publications, and community events.

A.M.E.R. offers courses in mushroom gathering, botany, truffles, and professional mycology, along with continuing education for mycologists. Its program also includes guided outings, conferences, meetings, and other activities for members. During the autumn season, members can bring collected mushrooms to the association’s experts for identification and selection, with explanations of the species found.

The association publishes the Rivista Micologica Romana, a scientific journal whose electronic edition has been freely accessible since 2025, and shares news, reports, articles, recipes, and other resources through its website. A.M.E.R. also maintains a library and organizes public-facing initiatives to encourage informed engagement with fungi and the environment. Based in Rome, it welcomes people interested in learning, exploring, and taking part in its activities through membership.
