About Arab Monetary Fund
The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) is a regional Arab financial institution that was established in 1976 and began its operations in 1977. It currently has 22 Arab member countries, including Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, and Yemen. The AMF aims to be the closest partner to Arab countries in their engagement with economic, financial, and monetary developments, enhancing stability and economic development.
It strives to establish the monetary foundations for Arab economic integration and drive economic development in all Arab states. The AMF offers various programs including macroeconomic support, financial and banking sector assistance, investment services, technical assistance and training, capacity building, and financial inclusion initiatives. It collaborates with similar Arab institutions and international organizations to achieve its goals and provides technical assistance and support in the monetary and financial sectors.
