Addictions & Mental Health Ontario

Addictions & Mental Health Ontario (AMHO) is a membership-based nonprofit organization representing more than 150 addictions and mental health organizations across Ontario, Canada. Its members include community service providers, peer support and consumer survivor groups, Community Health Centres, harm reduction organizations, and hospital-based services. AMHO’s vision is to help create the best addictions and mental health system anywhere, improving the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.

As the collective voice of its members, AMHO works with partners and government to advance a comprehensive, accessible system of care. Its activities include policy research and analysis, advocacy, service development, knowledge exchange, education, and quality improvement. The organization also shares timely sector information, supports professional development, and convenes members through conferences, leadership forums, events, and networking opportunities. Membership resources include policy and service development support, quality improvement initiatives, and access to group benefits and insurance rates. AMHO champions practical solutions to challenges such as workforce shortages, underinvestment, the opioid crisis, and access to supportive housing.
