Amiche per mano A.P.S. is a women-led association in Bergamo that supports women through treatment for breast cancer. Its members have personally experienced the disease and aim to ensure that patients do not face the journey alone. Guided by respect and trust between volunteers and patients, the association offers companionship and practical support in collaboration with the Breast Unit at Humanitas Gavazzeni.
Volunteers are available in the hospital’s Day Hospital on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. The association also provides oncological aesthetics there on the first Monday, third Wednesday and last Friday of each month. Its activities include prevention, consultations, events and collaborations, helping women find information and support during care. Patients and families can contact the association directly for details about its services.
Amiche per mano invites people to become members or make donations to help fund its activities and contribute to research. Supporters can also donate their Italian 5 × 1000 tax contribution.
