Amigos do Cáster is a youth association based in Ovar, Portugal, with a strong focus on the environment, nature and community engagement. A central project is Ambiente Imagens Dispersas, an international nature photography event held in Ovar. Its programme includes a photography competition, conferences, exhibitions and photography workshops, with awards covering subjects such as fauna, flora and fungi, natural landscapes and habitats, as well as categories for Ovar, local schools and the public. The association publishes event information and materials in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Amigos do Cáster’s wider programme includes environmental education, nature conservation and biodiversity initiatives, alongside activities such as eco-walks, boat trips on the Cáster River, coastal monitoring and campaigns focused on water and coastal erosion. Through these projects, the association combines creative activities with opportunities for public participation and environmental awareness, working with local and institutional partners to support its events and initiatives.
