AMIGOS, also known as Amigos de las Americas, is a nonprofit organization that has offered youth leadership and cultural exchange programs across the Americas since 1965. Its volunteer and immersion experiences help teens learn through community service, relationships with local families, and time spent beyond the tourist trail. Programs range from 12 days to six weeks and are designed for middle and high school students, from first-time travelers to more experienced participants.

Destinations include Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Paraguay. Activities vary by location and may include rainforest conservation, sea turtle protection, Spanish practice, cultural exchange, and community-led projects. AMIGOS also offers custom programs, a Social Impact Accelerator, and an Alumni Ambassador Program.

The organization emphasizes safety, working with trusted local partners, and access to information about costs, travel, and health.
