The Amina Myrén Foundation (AMF) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to being a voice for the African girl child and raising a strong generation of women in East Africa. Our mission is to empower girls through education and to fight poverty and inequalities in our world. We take a rights-based approach to women and girls' education, enabling them to pursue their right to education.

AMF is committed to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including addressing poverty, promoting quality education, and ensuring gender equality. We work to empower the girl child by providing them with access to education that can help break the cycle of poverty. Additionally, we focus on keeping more girls in school and building safe and effective learning environments.

We also advocate for gender equality, fighting against inequalities, discrimination, and violence. Through our projects, we address issues such as menstrual health, gender-based violence, early marriages, and female genital mutilation.

Moreover, AMF works towards providing clean water and sanitation to communities in Kenya. We aim to solve the water crisis by drilling boreholes and implementing a renewable solar-powered water supply system.

Inspired by our founder, Amina Myrén, we support musically talented youth in Sweden through our stipendium award. We also recognize the talent of young Kenyan musicians and aim to provide them with the necessary resources to develop their skills.

Through mentorship programs and advocacy campaigns, we strive to nurture young girls, connect them to role models, and raise awareness about issues affecting girls' education. Our goals include eliminating female genital mutilation, increasing access to menstrual products, eliminating early childhood marriages, and supporting equal access to education.
