AMIS-Bayern is a workplace health and safety service offered through the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL). It supports employers and organisations in Bavaria with practical advice, specialist information and training to help protect employee health and improve safety at work. Its services cover occupational safety, occupational medicine and occupational psychology, bringing together technical and health-focused expertise.

AMIS-Bayern provides safety-engineering, occupational medical and occupational psychological consultations, alongside workplace inspections and guidance on conducting risk assessments. It also offers support with occupational reintegration management (BEM) and maternity protection, and addresses broader workplace health topics through specialist focus areas. Training and continuing education are available to help organisations build knowledge and meet their responsibilities.

The service also provides forms, documents and answers to frequently asked questions, making practical guidance accessible to employers and other users. As part of the LGL’s wider public health and regulatory work, AMIS-Bayern helps organisations address workplace risks and foster healthier, safer working conditions
