Founded by Ditte Kilmose, an IBCLC-certified lactation consultant, certified sleep adviser and experienced paediatric nurse, the service combines professional expertise with compassionate, non-judgmental care. Consultations are available online or as home visits, offering families flexible support in the setting and at a time that suits them.

Ammestart offers urgent help with breastfeeding difficulties, guidance for a confident start to breastfeeding, and personalised breastfeeding plans informed by current knowledge. Sleep advice is also available, with recommendations tailored to each family’s circumstances. The guidance is evidence-based and considers the baby’s wellbeing, the mother’s experience and the family’s needs as a whole.

Ammestart provides consultations in Danish and English, aiming to help parents feel supported rather than alone when questions or challenges arise.
